Publicity Stunts for newbie Bloggers

There are by some estimates more than a million weblogs. But most of them get no visibility in search engines. Only a few “A-List” blogs get into the top search engine results for a given topic, while the majority of blogs just don’t get noticed. The reason is that the smaller blogs don’t have enough links pointing to them. But this posting could solve that. Let’s help the smaller blogs get more visibility!

This posting is GoMeme 4.0. It is part of an experiment to see if we can create a blog posting that helps 1000’s of blogs get higher rankings in Google. So far we have tried 3 earlier variations. Our first test, GoMeme 1.0, spread to nearly 740 blogs in 2.5 days. This new version 4.0 is shorter, simpler, and fits more easily into your blog.

Why are we doing this? We want to help thousands of blogs get more visibility in Google and other search engines. How does it work? Just follow the instructions below to re-post this meme in your blog and add your URL to the end of the Path List below. As the meme spreads onwards from your blog, so will your URL. Later, when your blog is indexed by search engines, they will see the links pointing to your blog from all the downstream blogs that got this via you, which will cause them to rank your blog higher in search results. Everyone in the Path List below benefits in a similar way as this meme spreads. Try it!

Instructions: Just copy this entire post and paste it into your blog. Then add your URL to the end of the path list below, and pass it on! (Make sure you add your URLs as live links or HTML code to the Path List below.)

Path List

  1. Minding the Planet
  2. Luke Hutteman’s public virtual MemoryStream
  3. Mohammad.Abdulfatah, Chronicles Of
  4. Saurabhdotnet from India
  5. First Whidbey Group
  6. (your URL goes here! But first, please copy this line and move it down to the next line for the next person).

(NOTE: Be sure you paste live links for the Path List or use HTML code.)

Traveling down the Trousers of Time
They were to me close, but not the same

   Doctor, poet, musician, policeman
   Fireman, carpenter, gardener, chef
   Short attention filled every job
Even squirrel- feeder with palatial clef

New HR Policy

Dear Staff,

Please be advised that there are NEW rules and regulations implemented to raise the efficiency of our firm.

Transportation:
 - It is advised that you come to work driving a car according to your salary.
 - If we see you driving a Honda, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore you do not need a raise.
 - If you drive a 10 year old car or taking public transportation, we assume you must have lots of savings therefore you do not need a raise.
 - If you drive a Pickup, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.

Annual Leave:
Each employee will receive 52 Annual Leave days a year (Wooow!).  They are called Sunday.

LUNCH BREAK:
 - Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.
 - Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.
 - Fat people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim Fast and take a diet pill.

SICK DAYS:
We will no longer accept a doctor Medical Cert as proof of sickness.  If you
are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

TOILET USE:
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilets.
 - There is now a strict 3-minute time limit in the cubicles. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the door will open and a picture will be taken.
 - After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.
 - Subsequent pictures will be sold at public auctions to raise money to pay your salary.

SURGERY:
As long as you are an employee here, you need all your organs.  You should not consider removing anything. We hired you intact. To have something  removed constitutes  a breach of employment.

Internet Usage
All personal internet usage will be recorded and charges will be deducted from your bonus (if any) and if we decide not to give you any, charges will be deducted from your salary. (note:  Rs .20 per minute as we have 4MB connection).

Just for the record. 73% of the staff will not be entitled to any salary for the next 3 months as their internet charges have exceeded their 3 months salary.
Thank you for your loyalty to our company. We are here to provide a positive employment experience.

Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplation, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

Husband Upgradation

Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the performance of flower and jewelry applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.9, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running NAGGING 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Desperate

*****************************************************************************************************************

Dear Desperate,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Try to enter the command: C:/I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and install Tears 6.2.

Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications: Guilty 3.0 and Flowers 7.0.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Television 6.1. Television 6.1 is a very bad program that will create Loud noises ( WAV files) and does not get deleted.

DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program.

These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Cheerfulness 2.0.

Good Luck,

Tech Support

How Value and Reference Type are stored in Memory

Introduction:

There are basically two types of variables in Common Type System ?

1)     Value Type: Get Stored on Stack Memory.

2)     Reference Type: Get Stored on Managed Heap Memory

How this Works?

Value types get stored on stack and shared the same process memory, however the Reference Types get stored on Heap and their memory address value gets stored on the stack as value type.

Question: When an object (child Object) is instantiated inside an object (parent Object) where does it get stored?

Answer: The value of child object (Reference type) gets stored in another random memory area on the managed heap and its reference (memory address value) gets stored in the managed heap of the Parent Object as Value Type.

The value of child object (Value type) gets stored in the Parent object's memory area of the managed heap.

For Example:

Module Module1 'Main Entry

    Sub Main()

        Dim i As Integer = 50

Dim objA As classA = New ClassA

        Dim j As Integer = 25

    End Sub

End Module

Public Class ClassA 'Parent Class

    Dim obj As New ClassB

Dim MoreInfo As String = "sample"

End Class

Public Class ClassB 'Child Class

    Public name As String

    Public age As Integer

End Class

As you can determine from the figure, that value of the ObjA gets stored in the Managed Heap and its memory address value gets stored on the Stack. But, in case of ObjB the value of the ObjB gets stored at another location in the Managed Heap and the memory address value of this location gets stored as a value type in ObjA Managed Heap.

"Gayab" ho ke sab dikhta hai

Saw "Gayab" an act of courage by our own Ram Gopal Varma on this Sunday Night. A good movie to watch for us and try to write a program to emulate the logic.

So, today I emulated a System Hook ("Global Hook") in C# for one of my projects. It was noce creating them just for the sake when MSDN says there are no Global Hooks support in .NET Framework.
